At the Partnership, we know that when business leaders take an active role in education, they make the greatest possible investment in tomorrow's economy.
These are some of the actions we took during the first ten years of reform to help facilitate business involvement:
- Hundreds of presentations were made to businesses, business-related organizations, and schools.
- 40,000 check stuffers were designed and distributed to Kentucky businesses to help their employees better understand what has happening in their schools and how they could help.
- Window decals and involvement pieces were designed and distributed to 5,000 Jackson Purchase business leaders to demonstrate commitment to quality education.
- Education: We Make It Our Business, a business initiatives notebook, was developed as a guide for employers in establishing education initiatives at the work site. More than 600 copies were sent to businesses and individuals to show them how to get effectively involved in education.
