Discussions with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce board, the State Board of Education's committee on high school requirements, and individual business leaders indicated wide-spread support for using student records in entry level and part-time hiring. The Partnership took the lead in asking employers to endorse strategies intended to send the message to students and parents that "school matters."

In doing so, employers help students realize the connections between their current academic efforts and their future success in the business world.
