The need for better schools and challenges to improving education grow greater every day. The physical and cultural conditions that affect teaching and learning, lack of understanding about the relationship between education and global competition, citizen apathy and confusion…these issues are complex and require focused, strategic solutions.
An independent, nonpartisan organization, the Partnership recognizes the critical connections among economic development, education, government, and the workforce. It helps communities, schools, and employers capitalize on these vital partnerships through direct work with local schools and districts; communications and outreach strategies; dialogues about needs and expectations; and recommendations to local and state policymakers.
The Partnership engages all members of a community—school, civic, and faith leaders, parents, students, employers, and involved citizens—in this work. Our goal is to strengthen the bottom line of each community by building effective partnerships to improve schools, accelerating student achievement, and addressing the need for a more highly skilled workforce.
