The Partnership for Successful Schools is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of Kentucky business people who, believing that Kentucky's children deserve the best possible education, have worked since 1991 to involve the public and business in education while supporting educators in their work. The Partnership has developed One to One: Practicing Reading with Students, a program to train adults as reading coaches to help young students with the basic skill of reading. An important part of One to One is helping coaches (and other interested people in a community) understand reading test scores and what they mean to the academic achievement of an elementary school.
This Web site provides them, and you, with test scores for third, fourth, sixth, and seventh graders in Kentucky, and with the tools to understand and use those scores to help children in your community.
There are many opportunities for employers and employees, parents and citizens to get involved in Kentucky education. To learn more about One to One and how it could help schools and students in your community, we invite you to contact us.
